Cassandra, from Vancouver, Canada, said: “I’ve been surfing for about eight years.
My family has always been very active and outdoorsy. We always went on the boat and started jet-skiing.
I used to skateboard and a couple of years ago I heard about jet-skiing.
My friend said I should do something funny so I did a kite and drank cups of coffee [on the board] And I realized it was fun. I enjoyed making silly videos.
The 29-year-old admitted that she “can’t keep wearing tall heels” because it’s too difficult to balance on the board
One day my friends were talking about things I could do and I wondered if I could do it in heels.
It was actually good. I went out and was surprised.
I can’t keep wearing tall heels. It’s definitely more difficult because your credit gets thrown off.
“After I did that, people were giving me a bunch of other ideas.”

Cassandra claims she’s always thinking about her next assignment — even a hint that her wedding day might be shooting the waves is on the table.
In the video, I’m moving with the wave and we’re moving very slowly, Cassandra said. We will go 5 km/h or 8 km/h max.
My dad usually drives the boat, then my friend, mom and brother help me. We go out as a family pretty much.
I think they were surprised when I managed it [the heels trick]. They thought it was kind of cool.

Despite making each trick look easy, Cassandra claims that some viewers were worried she might sink in heels – though she was quick to assure them that she could ‘handle it’
They are very supportive and try to help with different ideas, while making videos and cheering me on.
I don’t know what’s coming next – it’s hard to come up with different ideas.
I hope that next year my boyfriend and I will get engaged and get married and I will be able to do a photo session in my wedding dress with him in his suit.

“The reaction online is very diverse,” Cassandra said. Some people think it’s really cool, others think it’s so stupid that if I fell in heels I wouldn’t be able to swim.

Obviously safety precautions are in place and I’m making sure I can swim in heels. I don’t do any tricks I don’t think I can handle.
Others challenge their friends to try it out, too.
‘There is a rope attached to the boat that I use to get up. As soon as I arrive, I throw the rope into the boat.
“Because you’re going really slow while surfing waking up, it’s like falling in the waves. It’s really easy on your body and it doesn’t hurt if you fall.
