Charli D’Amelio and ‘proud’ sister Dixie react to Dancing With the Stars win

Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas are “thrilled” at their “Dancing With the Stars” win.

Page Six spoke to the dancing duo just moments after they were announced as the new Mirrorball champions during Monday’s Season 31 finale.

“It was crazy, absolutely amazing,” DiAmilio, 18, told us on the dance floor, her sparkly new glass in hand. “It all happened so quickly that I don’t even know how to feel yet.”

For the final dance number — a freestyle to “Us Again” by Pinar Toprak — the TikTok and Ballas star, 36, opted to use minimal set pieces with an emphasis on choreography.

Their strategy clearly worked as they beat fellow competitors Gabe Wendy, Val Chmerkovskiy, Wayne Brady, Whitney Carson, Shangela and Gleb Savchenko.

“It’s funny, I have a folder on my phone with music and I like to create something to do. I haven’t been on the show in a long time,” explained Ballas, who is back as a pro this year for the first time since season 25 and had a little link to this song.

“It’s from a Disney short called Us Again. And I was like, ‘If you go back to the show, use this song.’ So I went back and listened to it, and when I listened to it, I could see it from beginning to end.”

Ballas told Page Six that he felt it was the perfect final song for him and D’Amelio because they had “become like family” over the past few months.

“I had a great time. I think I learned something new every week,” D’Amelio gushed while reflecting on her journey and what she learned more about herself from doing the show.

“From the actual dance moves to learning how to perform and just learning how to rehearse. There are so many different things we worked on that I couldn’t narrow it down to one thing or even a few things.”

In addition to all the fans voting for her Monday night, D’Amelio had a lot of support on the live dance floor.

Boyfriend Landon Parker was seated front row with the dancer’s sister, Dixie D’Amelio, and father, Marc D’Amelio, while mom, Heidi D’Amelio — who competed with Artem Chigvintsev — returned to dancing in the star-studded finale.

Anstead and Haack got into a mess…

“I’m incredibly proud of her. I miss her so much and I’m excited to be around her more,” Dixie, 21, told Page Six after Charlie’s win. “She did it amazing. She worked so hard and I’m so proud of her.”

Mark got involved, too, telling us he’s “so happy” to see his youngest daughter dance again and pursue her passion.

She grew up dancing. It’s in her heart, it’s in her blood. he said, referring to Charli’s admission that she found herself falling in love with the hobby amid criticism from TikTok fame.

“For her to come back to this, at this point and win it, it’s just unbelievable for her.”
