Maize & BlueReview – Penn State threw Michigan’s PB & J sandwiches into a first-half brawl

Michigan State football beat Penn State with a power, 41-17, on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor.

Entering the first half, the Wolverines had a two-point lead despite doubling the Nittany Lions’ total area.

As both teams made their way into the locker room through the Lloyd Carr Tunnel at Michigan Stadium, a lively and frank brawl ensued between the Big Ten’s enemies.

While attending the post-game press conference, Wolverine D. Mike Morris said Penn State started beefing up at halftime. QB JJ McCarthy, who wasn’t in the tunnel at the time, said “it wouldn’t surprise him” if Nittany Lons started it, given how emotional they played throughout the match.

According to UM’s dietitian Abigail O’Connor, Penn State has taken it a step further, treating a classic halftime snack like a snowball in December.

After the Nittany Lions emptied the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they kept in the first inning, Michigan edged them out 25-3 thanks to 563 yards of total attack, 418 of which fell to the ground.

Perhaps that was due to the lack of carbohydrates that 42.2 grams of PB&J (on average) would have provided had it not been wasted trying at a college football game, which admittedly sounds like fun.

Meanwhile, Michigan remained undefeated with a 7-0 score, heading into its fourth/no week. 3 It’s covered in Smuckers.

UM hosts its in-state competition, Michigan on October 29.
