The actress said that Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband was not bothered by her friendship with ex Brad Pitt

Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband is confident in their love.

In an interview with Entertainment tonight Posted Wednesday, Politician The 50-year-old actress has revealed how her husband, Brad Falchuk, 51, is feeling about her friendship with ex-fiancé Brad Pitt, 58.

Paltrow and Pete were together from 1994 to 1997, when they called off their engagement. She later married a cheerful Co-creator in 2018.

“When we first broke up, we weren’t friends for a while and then kind of found our way back, maybe about 18 or 19 years ago, something like that, and then we kept in touch over the years,” she tells ET.

Speaking about Falchuk’s feeling about the current state of their relationship, the Goop founder said, “My husband is probably like the least judgmental and most secure man in our relationship, so I think he totally respects [the friendship]. “

Paltrow added, “Probably one of the things he loves about me is that I believe in conscious decoupling, whether you’re breaking up with a co-worker, spouse, or friend, I really believe that if you invest in someone – and of course there are exceptions – to amputate those Relationship [shows that] Perhaps you don’t let the full lesson reveal itself and heal happen.

“While it can be uncomfortable at times, I think it’s a good idea to work through it and reconnect with the value that this person has brought into your life,” the actress explained.

As for her and Falchuk, she hailed the “amazing chemistry” as “a big part of the foundation,” adding, “My body feels really good when it’s around, so that’s just a fluke.”

She also noted that her previous marriage to Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Falchuk’s previous marriage to Susan Bokenek were lessons for their union. Paltrow and Martin were married for more than a decade before they separated in 2014, while Falchuk and Bokenek were married for 10 years before they filed for divorce in March 2013.

“I think we learned a lot from our first marriages,” Paltrow said. ET. “I think we almost have a great reverence for commitment and building, and continuing to nurture marriage. We’ve become very well connected, and that’s a very important part.”

Sharing the secret of their successful marriage, she continued, “The way I express love is through cooking and taking care of the people I love, so for me it’s such an important part of the weekend. His loving language, his acts of service, are such a huge influence on him, So it worked out really well for us.”

Last October, Paltrow told PEOPLE that she and Falchuk were still on their “honeymoon phase” three years after they tied the knot.

“I’m really lucky to have married Brad,” she said at the time. “There’s just something about us together. We’ve been able to build on all the things we’ve been through in life and create something really amazing. And I’m thankful for our chemistry. It can get us through some tough spots!”

“The key is to be as responsible as possible for the negative ways I’ve been in past relationships,” Paltrow said with Falchuk. “I’ve worked hard to break old patterns and work through longstanding intimacy issues in order to get the most out of my marriage. Divorce is not something you wish for or plan for, and a second marriage can be a beautiful gift.”
