Venture deviating from the main mission path in Cyberpunk Could feel a bit ludonarrative…maybe disharmony? Sure, J has a lot of quests, but there is a whole city full of quests and goals. However, not everything is created equal. If you want to experience one of the best side diversions this dystopian futuristic landscape has to offer, it’s time to re-acquaint yourself with the AI taxi service you met at Act One. Turns out they had a bit of a staff problem; Good thing you need the swirls and have time to spare.

The second chapter begins with a heavy narrative premise that makes it easy to immerse yourself in the main story. Who has time for fetch missions when the clock is ticking on impending doom? This is especially the case when a lot of the game feels like a file GTWanabe at worst. But the quest series that follows “Tune Up” is packed with such a character and presents the classic sci-fi premise of AI that you shouldn’t miss it. In fact, it should be at the top of your to-do list to grab once you finish the main quest “The Heist”.

You must be in the second semester to access this task. Chapter 2 follows the attempted events of the main “The Heist” function, so we’ll be in the spoiler territory here. Also, as a content warning, This endeavor deals with the topics of self-harm and suicide. Make sure you get at least 10 intelligence points in order to reach all the results at the end of the mission.) It is worth pausing the main story for this story.

It all starts with the “Tune Up” side function, which will surprise you a bit before you’re on your way to hunting down single targets scattered around the city. You have two options for how to approach this task: Either get rid of all seven objectives one by one, or plunge into and out of them as you progress through the main story or other quests. Some shoots can get a little rough if not leveled appropriately, specifically the ones in Pacifica.

Let’s dig.

How to start the Delamain side quest

Your friend has died, a cigarette-smoking rebel rock star is stuck in your head, and a piece of hardware stolen from Arosaka is slowly overcoming your consciousness. Isn’t the future big? The second act arrives after one hell of a turn of events and all you might care about after waking up is where your car is.

You are lucky: if you Check your diary or map, you will come across the “Tune Up” side function, where the first objective is to retrieve your car from your apartment parking garage.

After the impolite car crashes into you and wrecks your ride, you will be less hurrying for a spell. Don’t worry, you can either grab one of the purchasable vehicles as a temporary replacement (yes, you’ll get your wheels back).

Alternatively, if you’re looking for a free wheel set and don’t mind a quick trip into the desert, you can get a free Colby CX410 Butte at the following site:

It’s by no means the fastest car, and acceleration is rather slow, but what do you want for nothing?

Complete the rest of Human Nature and you’ll be able to access the Tuning side function. This person will take you to Delamain HQ, where you will understand a little bit what just happened.

After chatting with Delamain for a bit, you’ll discover that a number of his cars have become sinister. It will be up to you to track them down.

Finding Delamain Rogue Car Locations (And How To Drive Without Crashing)

It’s time for a seven-step fetch mission! Don’t close your browser, believe me, it’s worth it. For the best experience, I really recommend driving in first person mode. To avoid hitting things left and right while driving in first person, make sure you have your map turned on and use it as a kind of peripheral vision.

Once Delamain gives you a summary of what’s going on, you’ll have access to the seven-step “Epistrophy” side function. You can go to each location as you wish, get rid of them one by one, or choose to grab them when they seem appropriate. If you want to leave this task as something you’ll get back to and run, you don’t have to worry about keeping track of it too much. Delamain will call you whenever you are near a rogue vehicle. It will take some time to find some of them depending on their location. Stay inside the highlighted area in the mini map So you find the car and stay close to it once you find its location. It can be found in the following places:

  • sources
  • The northern side
  • North Oak
  • Coronado farm
  • Badlands
  • glen
  • coast

Some of the more famous parts of this mission include the Rancho Coronado, Wellsprings, and North Oak sites. In North Oak, you’ll need to drive the rogue taxi yourself, except that this AI is particularly concerned about the city. Keep the car under 50 so you don’t frighten him too much.

Rancho Coronado will have you engaging in some fun property damage to satisfy an AI that is very upset about some pink flamingos. Meanwhile, Wellsprings’ AI has some positions. It might sound tricky, but I’d recommend sticking with the first person during the car battle here, from the perspective of the camera, the impromptu 1v1 derby in the middle of a city is very fun and a bit challenging.

If you’re heading to Pacifica for a Coastview spot, level up and stock up on ammo. After the entertaining Easter egg, a group of gongks will jump on you. I recommend staying under the bridge during this crossfire, as there are two groups of hostile enemies outside the bridge who can easily get caught up in their shooting spree. Fighting one group of fools is much easier than facing three.

As a note, “The Glen” includes a conversation about depression and self-harm.

Delamain’s Final Mission: “Don’t Lose Your Mind”

Once you collect all of the rogue AI and send it back to Delamain HQ, you will have to wait a few days to receive a suspicious call from Delamain. This call is usually triggered by a visit to Corpo Plaza. Turns out Delamain has found the source of the problem: the AI virus has infected you and you are called in for help.

As you will quickly learn, getting into Delamain HQ is not as easy as it used to be. Once you find a way to get around the back, you’ll walk through some deserted offices. Take the time to go through emails on the computer to get a bit of a miserable background on what happened to the human staff. This is one of the game missions that earns the time you spend sifting through the documents in the world. You will also need to search emails to get the code to your main office computer (it’s very secure too: 1 2 3 4). If you have an IQ of 8, you don’t need the password.

Once in the garage, you will have to deal with some hostile drones and an electrified floor. Drones don’t get into much of a fight, but the ground will kill you quickly. (The inductor’s immune system implant will make you immune to electricity.)

Take the door to your left when you enter the garage and see Johnny. You’ll need to jump into the car being raised and lowered and parkour on your way to an open air vent. You will then have to navigate through some narrow lanes behind the cars to reach the control room and the core of Delamain. Once you get in, things get fun.

Johnny will appear and immediately give you a piece of his mind about what you should do. You will have three options: recover Delamain and kill rogue AI branches, merge AI branches with Delamain (requires IQ 10), or draw a pistol and destroy the core, free the AI branches but kill Delamain.

Do AI branches have the right to live? Are they just a bug that needs to be corrected? Should (or can they) coexist peacefully with the basic consciousness that generated them? Follow the spoilers:

Johnny will appear to urge you to destroy the core or merge all the AI systems into one. It’s not without a point, which means Delamain hardly lives a free life as a taxi driver and dispatcher. Delamain admits early in his quest that he maintains a control room precisely for the need to mirror humans, saying that such a space is an “infrastructure” he inherited, like the visible face through which he speaks. Narratively speaking, this is an opportunity for V to decide whether to continue serving humans simply by sending and driving taxis.

You are free to reset the kernel to purge stray AI branches, which are known as Dellamin’s Children and seem to be fragments of his personality. If you do, Johnny will not be happy and will call you. If you lack the intelligence score to integrate the AI, your only option is to draw a weapon and destroy the core.

If you have a high enough IQ (10), you can reach what is arguably the “good end” of the Delamain mission guide. Once all the AI characters are integrated, Delamain will express the need to leave Night City to go to a better place. No matter which end you choose, you will get your own taxi to drive.

While AI systems integration seems like the best way to go, none of these seem to scream “good/bad end”. Instead, it will leave you with a nice mystery about the nature of consciousness and what it means to be free. What’s more cyberpunk?

Delamain’s mission is one of Cyberpunk 2077 movieUnforgettable side quests. There are some great gameplay, lots of dialogue and great narration, and it will make you travel to different areas of the city. It’s easy to be the first side job to be picked up once you’re out of the first semester.
