Wendy Williams left rehab after nearly two months of treatment.
A former talk show host representative told Page Six that Williams has come home and is “recovering.”
“We are pleased to report that Wendy Williams is back home and recovering after being in a health facility since August,” Sean Zanotti says in a statement.
Wendy is excited about the road ahead and is looking forward to launching many of her projects.
Via Zanotti, Williams adds, “Thank you to my fans for your love, support, and many prayers, I’m back and better than ever.”
Page Six reported in September that the former trauma player was back in a treatment facility after relapsing with alcohol.
“It just got worse,” our source said at the time. “I switched from wine to vodka.”
Gifford said she “won’t” read LiveWire, adding…
We were told that Williams’ health and addiction problems worsened after the production company of her former talk show, DeMar-Mercury, allegedly “refused” to get her help.
“They have turned their backs on her,” our source explained. “They had too much control over a very weak person.”
It was not known where Williams sought treatment, but she had previously received assistance from centers in Florida and Long Island City, New York.
Now that she’s back home, Williams may focus on developing the podcast she announced earlier; However, Rosanna Scotto, owner of Fresco by Scotto, tells us that Williams wants to open a restaurant with her help.
“She loves meatballs in Fresco,” the Good Day New York co-host told us, “and the last time I spoke to her she was like, ‘Okay, Rosanna, I’m coming to Frisco and I want meatballs and then you’ll help me open my own restaurant. And I’m like, “What, sister, do you want to take my people away to your restaurant?”
Scotto joked, “I don’t know if she wanted me to be a waitress or what, but she told me she wanted to open her own restaurant and wanted me to help…if there was [a restaurant] From Wendy, it’s going to be a big competition but I love it.”
