Wolverine is oriented towards higher goal and potential commitment

With an announcement pending sometime on Friday, Michigan is in complete control of the 2023 247Sports Crystal Ball 3-star. Nathan Ifobe, who has been recruited as the Wolverines’ main target over the past few months. All four forecasts currently favor corn and blue.

Cumming (GA) was a prospect on campus for a Michigan barbecue at the Big House in July, again in September for the Wolverines’ win over Maryland and is expected to return to campus in December for a state visit.

A Maryland game drive put the Wolverines in prime position for a final commitment from Efobi when TMI’s Brice Marich told Michigan led. The first 247 Sports Crystal Ball, from Marich, soon followed.

“My visit was amazing,” Ifobe told TMI as he left the flight. “We have to go out on the field and see how the players are doing. After the match, I go to the dressing room and meet the players. After that, I touch the elbows and take a picture.”

Michigan views Efobi as a flexible player up front who can play anywhere across the line. He’s thought of as a kind of roofer and currently ranks 31st in the “Inside Line” spot in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

In the midst of a 20-2 run over the past two seasons, Michigan coaches are hoping to see the outcome of that in the 2023 recruiting cycle as they look to build strength in 2022.

The Wolverines currently have verbal commitments in 2023, led by four-star Acheampong, Enow Etta, four-star in-state RB Cool Cabana, four-star linebacker, Smag Bridgman. Four Star tight end Deacon Tonelli, Three Star running back Benjamin Hall and three-star skill players Morgan Seeds (WR) complements their current offensive commitments. The current class is rounded out by a three-star defensive lineman Brooks Bahr and three star kicker Adam Samahawho may be the nation’s highest prospect in office.

The Wolverines have a whole new look in the recruitment department, too. out are Courtney Morgan (Washington) and Ahon Larkins (Ole Mays) former recruiting employee Albert Karshnea (Central Michigan), director of player personnel Tom Gamble and legendary Wolverine player. Denard Robinson (Jacksonville Jaguars). New defensive line coach Mike Elston He is also the team’s recruiting coordinator, coming from Notre Dame.

The hiring of Robinson, in particular, is seen as exciting as he is one of the show’s most visual actors in the last 25 years.

Denard is an energetic man who always has a smile on his face. Jim Harbaugh said in a statement released after Robinson’s appointment became official. “He will be a positive addition to our program in both the areas of player and people development. Denard has been an active member of this campus and we know he will bring the same enthusiasm and love for Michigan to our building every day. We are excited to have Denard back home in Michigan to help our team.”
